What:Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (CA-46) in an effort to turn up
the pressure on President Bush to pardon Border
Patrol Agents Ramos and Compean will be joined by
convicted agent Jose Compean and family to
announce a petition signed by over 140,000 Americans
supporting their commutation. This event is another
attempt in a series of efforts by Rep. Rohrabacher and
other members of Congress to convince President
Bush to do the right thing and pardon these unjustly
convicted agents. Rep. Rohrabacher recently sent a
letter to the president, signed by over 50 congressmen
demanding his intervention. Mr. Compean's sister is a
constituent and resident of Huntingdon Beach, CA.
