Now, add to the total what Radar & Lightening Rod have done, plus, you and other helpers and it is aprox. 14,000 pounds. This is litter not only from Buckman Springs Rd., but, also along the I-8 illegal alien load up locations. I /we have been at it for 78 weeks! I adverage 150 pounds of litter removal per week by my self. 78 x 150 = 11,700 pounds. If you wish to know just last year total, then it's 52 x 150 = 7800 pounds for me, plus, aprox. another 1,000 pounds for the helpers(8,800pounds). I enjoy the special clean up's with helpers on Buckman Springs Rd. It is good for the locals to see us removing litter. It is good PR. But, I find it is just as important to clean up the illegal alien load up zones / areas along I-8. There's no shortages of traitorous Americans aiding the illegal aliens by lining the trails/ load up areas with litter...from the Mexican border to I-8 and beyond! If we want to save America, then, we must be willing to clean up the litter...from the Mexican border to at least I-8. in other words, take back America one littered bit at a time! that's my take on it. Enjoy the ball game, I've got to get to the border and back to litter removal...Lol. Dan/Gadget. Serving with campominutemen.com...doing for our country what our government won't.

SAN DIEGO—Authorities say a Border Patrol agent fired shots at a pickup truck when the driver backed the vehicle toward him during a stop in San Diego County.

An agency spokesman says no one was injured in the incident early Sunday in Potrero.

The driver of the white pickup resisted initial attempts by the agent to stop him. After the truck did stop, the driver started backing up towards the agent, prompting him to fire 3 rounds.

The driver took off in the vehicle and was not caught.

The Border Patrol believes the man was engaged in a smuggling operation. Nine suspected illegal immigrants were found hiding in rocks in the area and were taken into custody.

SAN DIEGO – A van suspected of carrying illegal immigrants crashed and rolled over Tuesday morning in Ocean Crest, seriously injuring six people, authorities said.

The accident happened about 10:45 a.m. on westbound state Route 905 east of Interstate 805, said California Highway Patrol Officer Brad Baehr.

The Border Patrol started pursuing the 2008 Dodge Caravan about 10:40 a.m. near the Otay Mesa border crossing after getting reports that the driver was running red lights and driving erratically, Baehr said.

Border Patrol Agent Richard Smith also said authorities got a call from a private security guard who said he saw several people jump into the minivan.

A helicopter that was in the area began to follow the vehicle, Smith said.

Agents in patrol cars also began to chase the van, but stopped due to the potential danger to other motorists and because the helicopter was following it, Baehr said.

The driver continued heading west on the highway at speeds of more than 80 mph. About two miles east of Interstate 805, the driver lost control of the van. It went onto the dirt center divide and then crossed the highway, overturning once, possibly twice onto the embankment, Baehr said.

Three men and three women were inside the van and two of them were ejected, Baehr said.

All suffered major injuries and required hospitalization, said San Diego Fire-Rescue Department spokesman Maurice Luque. One person was taken to the hospital via helicopter.

All of them appeared to be adults, Baehr said.

Traffic rapidly backed up in both directions after the crash. The westbound lanes of SR-905 were shut down as authorities investigated the crash. Drivers were turned around at Heritage Road.

“This is another perfect example of how smuggling organizations prioritize profits over human safety,” Smith said.

We get email--- Response to G-Man's Report

Campo,

Thanks for a job well done.

You are our heroes.

I wish our news media would tell it like it really is.

That if it wasn't for the Minutemen volunteering their time to protect our borders we would have a lot more illegals coming here.

And who knows maybe a terrorist or two as well.

Thanks for doing the job our government should be doing, but won't do.

US Border Patrol Agent Killed

http://www.yumasun.com/news/agent_39038___article.html/border_dunes.html

U.S. Border Patrol agent killed
A U.S. Border Patrol agent died in the dunes Saturday morning. Witness accounts on scene say the agent was laying down spike strips to stop a vehicle and was hit. Vi

A U.S. Border Patrol agent was killed Saturday morning when he was struck by a vehicle as it fled law enforcement officers in the Imperial Sand Dunes.

The agent, who was stationed in the Yuma sector, was hit at about 9:30 a.m. near Gray's Well Road south of Interstate 8, according to Border Patrol representatives. The agent was laying spike strips across the road in an attempt to stop a Hummer vehicle that was fleeing pursuit.

Border Patrol officials believe the Hummer was driven by smugglers from Mexico.

Paramedics attempted to revive the agent at the scene but could not save him. Supervisory Border Patrol Agent Jeremy Schappell, spokesman for the Yuma sector, said the driver escaped back to Mexico.

"Right now our Mexican liaison unit has contact with the Mexican authorities ... try and track these individuals down," Schappell said.

No apprehensions have been made at this time. Schappell said they did not know whether the vehicle was carrying drugs or human cargo.

The Hummer and a Black Ford F-150 pickup truck were being pursued by law enforcement officers on I-8 when they turned into the dunes and fled toward Mexico, according to witnesses in the dunes.

The incident occurred near a popular duning campground.

"It was at the entrance to the Buttercup Recreation Area, where the duners usually park," Schappell said.

He added that it is not unusual for smugglers to go through these recreational spots.

"It actually happens quite frequently out here. What they try to do is, they hope to blend in with the usual dune traffic to increase their chances of going undetected," Schappell said.

The agent's name has not been released at this time, pending notification of next of kin.

This is the first time in more than four years the Yuma sector has lost an agent. Agent Jim Epling drowned in December 2003 in the Colorado River while in pursuit of four illegal immigrants.

An El Centro sector agent assigned to the Indio station, Richard Goldstein, died in May 2007. He drowned in a canal near the city of Niland, east of the Salton Sea and about 60 miles southeast of Indio.

"It's not easy. No law enforcement agency wants to lose one of their own. What we're focusing on now is making sure the agents at the scene are taken care of, mentally. Our primary focus is on the family, helping them cope and deal with their loss," Schappell said.

Hundreds of police and soldiers fight armed men for three hours, leaving a neighborhood terrorized. Four police officers are hurt.

TIJUANA -- Hundreds of police officers and soldiers waged a three-hour gun battle against heavily armed men here Thursday, as residents of a normally quiet neighborhood ran for their lives. One suspect was killed and six kidnapping victims were found dead after the shootout.

Four police officers were injured as a monthlong crackdown on Tijuana's crime cartels escalated.

The working-class neighborhood of La Mesa resembled a war zone. Crying children streamed from an elementary school, escorted by terrified parents. People lay on sidewalks and streets as bullets flew overhead. Some huddled inside their homes.

The six abducted men were found handcuffed, blindfolded and shot execution style, federal authorities said.

Four suspects were arrested, including two police officers -- one state and one city. All were being taken to Mexico City, a common procedure for organized crime suspects.

Federal authorities said the suspects were part of the Arellano Felix cartel, which has controlled crime in the city for years.

"We've entered a new era," said Victor Clark Alfaro, director of the Binational Center for Human Rights and a lifelong Tijuana resident.

This week, gunmen killed three police officers, the wife and two daughters of one of them, and a young couple and their 3-year-old son.

The confrontation Thursday began in the morning as the three slain police officers were being buried across town. Police quickly scrambled to La Mesa, where officers had surrounded a house. Gunfire erupted as officers approached and they peppered the house with automatic weapons fire.

Later, bomb threats forced the evacuation of City Hall and police headquarters, but no explosives were found.

Police officials have said criminals are waging a campaign of terror in response to a crackdown launched in December by the city's new administration.

To support the effort, the government sent 1,000 federal police officers to the state of Baja California last week, half of them to Tijuana. Hundreds of soldiers are also participating in the crackdown.

Minutemen look for some traction

Re "San Diego Minutemen adopt a road," Jan. 12

That was a nice piece about the Minutemen adopting a highway, but I think you gave credit to the wrong group. The Campo Minutemen adopted Buckman Springs Highway in Campo, Calif., more than a year ago, and there was no controversy or complaints.

The group has at least one man cleaning up literally every day, and every few weeks there is a crew out on a Saturday. They are doing a great job.

Campo Minutemen Reporting Up Date

These two guys were looking for a way across on the West Side of Smith Canyon.

G -Man spotted and reported seven crossers on Sunday Morning and four Monday Morning, all of whom were later apprehended by the Border Patrol.

The Campo Minutemen reported another large group of crossers last week, numbers 'in the teens" which were later apprehended by the Border Patrol.

The Campo Minutemen received a special thank you from The Border Patrol this week for "doing it right." Namely, following their recommendations, quietly calling in activity and allowing the crosser to get far enough into the US so they can be apprehended and processed.

Things are busy this week because many are returning from trips to Mexico and further south for the Holidays

They stated they had spent the previous night with MCDC at Camp Vigilance and wished to spend sometime with the Campo Minutemen. The emphasized that they were with Al Jazeera English and that they were "different." They asked if Kingfish had a family, and he mentioned his namesake unlceuncle who was

Kingfish stated that he would show them the border, and he wanted, in turn to be able to say
Al Jazeera was interested in the border so that maybe our government would build the fence already.

The man stated that he would "not be used like that" at which point Kingfish stated he was not going to be used by them either. At this point the two of them became upset and left quickly.

The did indicate their interest in another border watch group, which was notified by the Campo Minutemen.
