Report from Mexio - Warning, Graphic Photos

This was sent by email to an Independent Minutemen by a source in Mexico who is trying to get the word out about the conditions in Mexico.

"Concerning the four decapitated heads that were delivered on 10/20/08 by a commercial courier in a cooler to the Ascension, Chihuahua Municipal Police. Ascension is about 60 miles southwest of Palomas and it is also the main city for their county (“municipio” in Spanish). Palomas is part of the municipio of Ascension. The heads have been identified as those of male subjects’ between the ages of 25-35 years of age. Their bodies have not been found. It is unknown if these subjects are part of the group of five drug smugglers that was kidnapped about a week ago. Mexican Law Enforcement suspect that these beheadings are due to the ongoing turf war by rival drug smuggling organizations, “Juarez and Sinaloa Cartels”.

Report from Viking - Border Fence at Campo

Border Fence at Campo

Hello All
Here are some shots from my trip to Campo this last weekend. It shows a stark contrast from the old fence vs. the new one. It is really apparent when you look at where the fence stopped across from the sunshade at 141 heading east towards Smith Canyon. It extends right through La Gloria Canyon and the road is actually blacktop in large areas! Quite gratifying after going down there for so long.

Report From Tijuana - Battles Erupt all over Tijuana Tonight

Received via Email:

"Just got a voice mail a few hours ago from a source in Tijuana. There have been at least 5 or 6 gun battles in different parts of Tijuana tonight. Looks like mostly police and military going after the cartels and thugs. Some of this is starting to hit the news, but its still developing and ongoing. If you know people who like to go to Baja on weekends, let them know that now is not a good time. The drug war is getting very hot right now."
