American Freedom Riders

Tom Tancredo is coming to Arizona and we have an opportunity to support his presidential effort, support for his demands for secure borders, and enjoy a very unique ride - all at the same time.

We have been invited and encouraged to attend a cookout/fundraiser for Congressman Tancredo hosted by Glenn Spencer at his ranch near Naco, Az. Glenn's back fence is the Mexican border, next to the San Pedro River, and is a major illegal traffic route. Glenn's website ( www.americanpatrol.com ) is the best source of current immigration news on the internet.

Campo update- Easter weekend Viking Report

Campo update 4/06/07 to 04/09/07 Easter Weekend

I arrived at the Oaks at Campo around 7:30 Friday evening. The weather was getting foggy and damp and the soup was flowing all along the border road. NVG was pretty useless that night so the normal sit with the window down and ears open was the plan. Even a spotlight would beam right back at me. There were signs in the morning of a couple of crossings near 141 but we weren't able to see the evidence until the AM. One of my main missions down that weekend was to help Max get reprovisioned and run a couple of errands in the early afternoon.

Saturday night was spent partially mobile and then stationery near La Gloria and various other locations. Due to the fact that it was Easter weekend we figured crossings would be at a minimum. Easter Sunday morning I was down at the Oaks getting things policed up a bit for a trip by Camp Vigilance and a visit with MCDC on my way home. Max was still sacked out due to night ops Saturday night and Ridgerunner had just pulled in to the Oaks. Right before 8am I wanted to head back east to set up with a westward view of the fence near 143. As I approached the end of the fence near Ridgerunners camp I noticed what looked like a person hanging off the end of the fence directly across the BP sunshade. I radioed Ridgerunner back at camp if he knew of anybody that was supposed to be there and he answered negative.

I accelerated up to the end and pulled over under the sunshade at 141 and was face to face with a Coyote standing on the boulder at the end of the fence. Then another guy slipped up next to him and he had one of those SWAT type balaclava head masks on. I started telling them in Spanish to go back south. Three more guys then came out from behind the fence and lined up across from me. They started throwing insults and yelling back at me. I stood my ground. They were right on the end of the fence but about to illegally enter into the U.S.

I radioed for backup from anyone including the BP. The only one available was Ridgerunner but by that time he was clear down near Forest Gate Rd barely able to pick up my message. BP was no where to be seen and it was just me and them for what seemed like an hour but actually only a couple of minutes. I made it clear I wasn't moving and I was getting a little pissed off at the name calling and intimidation.

Finally after a little Teddy Roosevelt type persuasion, they filed back behind the fence and started walking back south on the road behind. As that was happening Ridgerunner roared up in his truck and we monitored their walk back. 4 or 5 less at the local DLS here next week.

I met some nice people at the MCDC camp and was impressed by the number of volunteers that were there and the equipment that they had at their disposal. I hope to meet up with them again but Campo is where my main focus is. Our methods are a little more "flexible" when needed. It would be nice to have some of their resources available in our area at Campo.

Report from C 1

Campo update 4/9-4/11/07

I had some time off during the week so I packed up extra gear and headed
for the border. Because I was “on vacation” and had my scooter (Honda
XR400) with me I decided to stay at Outdoor World, the campground near
Tierra Del Sol. I arrived in the afternoon on Monday 4/9/07 and set up
camp. Then I drove my truck to Campo for a night of border watch. That
night’s patrol was uneventful at least for the part that I was there. I
left the border about 0200 and went back to camp for some shuteye.

Tuesday morning 4/10 I donned my Kevlar and patrolled the border on my
scooter. I went from just east of Campo all the way to where the border
road ends west of Tierra del Sol. While I did not catch any illegals,
evidence of crossings were everywhere. The stretch of border fence from
Smith canyon to east of Tierra Del Sol is full of large holes and border
booties and blankets were everywhere. Meanwhile the National Guard was
building a “pump house” on the border road for some reason. I know that
the men and women there were just following orders, but who gave them
that asinine order? For two days a half a dozen men worked on that tiny
concrete block structure and never finished it. Meanwhile there are
sections of the fence where there is a man-sized hole every 20 feet!
Simultaneosly George Bush was in Yuma proclaiming arrests of illegals
are down and the border is ever more secure. What a sad, treasonous joke.

I patrolled in my truck in Campo that night. Before leaving about 0100 I
check “the pit” just east of the PCT. It has been wired and cut open
several times and when I left it was plugged with tree branches.
Wednesday morning however it had been cleared of debris and there was
evidence of an illegal intrusion overnight.

I am saddened that more people are not patrolling Campo and the
surrounding areas. I am committed to going down once a month and will
continue to do so at my own (considerable) expense. I urge every
patriotic American to donate some time on the border. If you can’t spend
time then please donate to the Campo Minutemen at

http://www.campominutemen.com/

My camp was in fairly close proximity to the Minuteman Civil Defense
Corp’s (MCDC) “Camp Vigilance” In addition to being a Campo Minuteman
and an independent civilian observer I am also and MCDC member. Though I
have never deployed with them, I visited their camp and attended a
meeting. I was impressed with their dedication. I urge all border watch
groups to lay aside their petty differences and work together to save
our great country from invasion and remain vigilant at a government and
politicians that seem bent on selling out it’s citizens.
I packed up and headed for home the night of 4/11/07. I will return to
Campo the last weekend in May.
Please fell free to click on the photos at right for a pictorial account
of my most recent visit to our porous and insecure southern border.
Thanks for your support,
C1

Kingfish in El Paso

Kingfish reached El Paso today . He met with Joe Loya, Monica Ramos and other Ramos family members.

There was a press conference at the El Paso Holiday Inn with local media and the videographer for the Tom Tancredo Campaign. Kingfish expressed the support for Ramos and Compean, from the Campo Minutemen, from California, and all over the Southern United States.

The Ramos Family related a recent incident in their community - some illegals were playing soccier in a area where it was not allowed. The Ramos family member told them they were not supposed to being playing ball there - and they responded "HA! We are going to call the police and they are going to put YOU in jail!" Sure enough, the illegals called the police and the police told the Ramos' to stop harassing the illegals.

Kingfish reports things are very bad in El Paso.

San Diego CBP Border Patrol seizes three million dollars worth of marijuana

San Diego CBP Border Patrol seizes three million dollars worth of marijuana in brazen smuggling attempt

Agents interdict four-vehicle narcotics convoy after drive-though of the International Boundary near Tecate, California

April 13, 2007

Chula Vista, Calif. -- At 8:30 a.m. Thursday morning, CBP Border Patrol seized four Sport Utility Vehicles containing 4,042 lbs. of marijuana worth more than $3,000,000 and arrested one driver. A Border Patrol agent working in an area near Tecate, CA observed a four-vehicle caravan covered in dust, driving on State Route 94. The agent linked the convoy to a gate that had been forced open near the International Boundary.

After stopping the last vehicle of the convoy and finding numerous marijuana bundles inside the vehicle, the agent arrested the driver. The three other vehicles continued west on SR-94 towards San Diego. Multiple agents, as well as a CBP Air helicopter, continued observation of the caravan. One of the three SUV drivers pulled off the highway and stopped in a trailer park near Barrett Lake and absconded from the scene. Agents later seized the vehicle and other marijuana bundles found inside.

The final two SUVs made an abrupt U-turn near Dulzura and returned eastbound on SR-94 towards the Tecate Port of Entry. In Tecate, the two SUVs split up, one driving west and the other vehicle driving east along the border fence, where the drivers then both abandoned their vehicles and jumped over the fence into Mexico. Border Patrol agents near that area of the International Boundary responded to the scene and discovered numerous other bundles of marijuana in the two abandoned vehicles. The Mexican citizen driver of the initial vehicle was turned over to Operation Alliance, a collaborative multi-agency anti-drug taskforce.

The Border Patrol continues ensuring the safety and security of our nation,s border by preventing dangerous people and dangerous drugs from entering our country. The San Diego Sector Border Patrol has seized 18,705 lbs. of marijuana since October 1, 2007, a 34% decline from year-to-date Fiscal Year 2006 seizures.

Kingfish from Florida

Kingfish picked up the new truck and proceeded to Georgia where he met with family and Original Minuteman "Big Bird." Bird and Kingfish discussed Bird returning the border, probably over the summer.

He then drove to St Augustine, Florida, where he got his Purple Hearts and other medals from his Safety Deposit Box. The army has asked decorated veterans to wear their medals this Veteran's Day as a show of support for the troops.

St. Augustine is a tourist town. All the small vendors are gone, replaced with Mexican vendors. Not Puerto Rican or Cuban, like you would expect in Florida, but from Mexico.

He then stopped to meet with members of the Florida Libertarian Party and see Congressman John Mica.

http://www.house.gov/mica/

"Let me first say that I strongly oppose any attempts to give legal status or grant blanket amnesty to those who have entered our country illegally. Those who enter illegally must be removed immediately instead of spending taxpayer dollars to provide them with legal counsel and a distant court date."Congressman John Mica.

Today, he met someone who wants to come and work on the fence.Tomorrow, he will try to meet up with a Florida Minuteman, and will then begin the drive west - stopping in Texas and Arizona.

Campo Minutemen Help shut down Mobile Mexican Consulate

Pictures:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1810039/posts

More information about the cards:

http://www.americanpatrol.com/REFERENCE/MatriculaConsularShamIDs.html

As much as I hate to miss an hanging of Osama Bin Laden in effigy with Ted Hayes, I had a prior overcommitment to protest the Mobile Mexican Consulate passing out Matricular Consular Cards at the local church.

The Mobile Mexican Consulate left about 1:00pm a half an hour after the Minutemen arrived, even though they were scheduled to be there until 3:30pm.

The church leaders stated they had been mislead about the nature of the event and members of the congregation eexpressed concern over the presence of the Mobile Mexican Consulate.

The response from passing motorists was positive and enthusiastic.
