Smuggling Horses

Campo Minutemen have twice observed a new occurrence at the border this month - horses. On the first occasion, Kingfish noted a man on a horse, leading two other horses, who appeared to have saddles or some type of back. He called this in to the Border Patrol. An agent came out, spoke to Kingfish, and advised him that the man had been spotted earlier, riding along the Border Road with just one horse. They had observed him, earlier but lost track of him. The Border Patrol met the man and questioned him.

The next week, Kingfish, was alerted by his dog, Buddy to a group of four horses standing along the Border Fence. There were no people with the horses who did not have saddles. A short time later, a horse trailer pulled up and loaded the horses into the trailer. The trailer was so heavy it got stuck in the dirt. At the suggestion of the Border Patrol, Kingfish assisted the men so they could proceed, and the Border Patrol could follow them and try to determine what was going on. The Border Patrol described the men as "persons of interest" but were not able to provide additional information about the investigation.
