Thank you for your support of the Campo Minutemen. There are now four men living on the border full time; Ridge Runner, Czechstan Max and Kingfish.



With regard to the donations we have received, our priority has been to begin the tedious, expensive process of setting up The Campo Minutemen as a California, non profit corporation and to apply for 501 status with the IRS. This way not only can people write donations off on their taxes, but the guys who come out regularly can write off their gas and other expenses. We are still in the process of this.

Your donations have allowed us to purchase Boost Mobile Phone Cards, which allow for secure communications.

Best of all, we have also found a source for used military night vision scopes. The guys on the line love them. We now have a total of three. They cost about $400 and work as well as units costing a couple of thousand dollars.

We have connected with some local property owners who have been involved quietly in border watching for years. They have provided us with maps and are working with us on developing hand written field reports. This process was helpful in eliminating illegal crossing through Jamul. We are also going to be looking at cameras. Used 35mm cameras have been suggested, as they can by used at a greater distance.
